This is the finest Cavendish I've smoke ,smooth and flavorful with a fantastic room aroma.

This smoke was easy to light and burned well. With a mild mouth feel and moderate taste. i never can gauge room note sooo.

Hard to smoke by itself but a gem when mixed into enough lighter hotter tobaccos like burley and Virginia with your choice of smoked or flavored lataka / perque / gold cavendish (my favs are rum/vanilla.

Purchased for my husband, accidently got this one and not the black vanilla Cavendish but he still enjoys this one. Same flavor almost just minus the vanilla. I love the smell of it.

I've rarely smoked a finer "every day" tobacco. This is what pipe tobacco should taste and feel like. It probably won't reverse that vasectomy you mistakenly had in the 90's but it's pretty damn good.

LaneBCA is my favorite pipe tobacco ever! It is dark, dense, packs easily into the pipe, burns at a lower temperature and smells and tastes great. I went to order it last month but it was temporally out of stock so I ordered some Golden Cav. It was good but nothing like Lane BCA!

I'm not a huge aro fan, they have their place for sure. I started with this as one of my first tobaccos years ago. I will very occasionally smoke this straight in a cob or designated Morgan Bones, but more often than not, I mix it with something like Luxury Bullseye Flake about 2:1, and it is very nice with a cup of coffee. I find that the notes are a bit more muted and not overpowering as part of a blend. The mixture sits nicely in a churchwarden and is fairly cool. That said, it is very moist and requires some drying time, in my opinion. I usually have enough for a pipe out for a few hours before I want to use it - or, will mix with LBF late one evening and leave it out and smoke the next morning. In any event, it is dark and full of flavor. Happy smokes.

the bag smells like sweet raisins, and vanilla. the only regret I have is only ordering 2 oz. if you have a pipe tobacco that is a little strong for your taste but you don't want to waste it, get some of this and blend it 50/50 with it. this tobacco is wonderful. I recommend letting it sit out for about an hour to dry before packing and smoking. it's very sticky

Have now been mixing this cab with KY GOLDEN BURLEY and continually get a mellow no bite sweet smoke. This cav by Lane is the best bar none!

This is my favorite black cavandish, hands down. The dryness of the liquor and whiskey on the draw is amazing and then the vanilla catches you on the exhale. This is the tobacco that got me to quit cigarettes. People do not step away when I light up, they come in closer and they inhale deeply.

Best Cavendish I've ever smoked

Very smooth, flavorful smoke. Reminds me of one of my (very) old favorites Argosy Black which my dad introduced me to a long time ago, but this is much better. Stays lit well, dry smoke with uniform taste and no bite right down to the bottom of the bowl. Highly recommended.

I have smoked a pipe for years and have always preferred a baked Cavendish. My favorite was Argosy Black and since it has been discontinued this is the closest tobacco I have found to match it.

I am having a real problem with the Lane products. Each one that I try is at least as good if not better than the last. I am in love with the Dark Red, I am in love with the Black Vanilla Cavendish.....yes, and now with BCA. The BCA is a little damper than the first two mentioned, but oh was a taste and aroma. I probably have almost 40 different jars of tobacco in my office closet, and each day I feel like a kid in a candy store. I do try and rotate most of them, but I find myself gravitating toward the Lane products most often. My dilemma is which one to take for a smoke. First it was Dark Red, which just knocked my socks off with a wonderful taste. Then it was Black Vanilla Cavendish....now, you guessed it, BCA. They all have very similar profiles with I think BVC having the sweetest with a real Vanilla note,then Dark Red a close second with an added dimension of cherry and I think caramel. The BCA is to me the base flavor of the first two, but still a wonderful smoke on its' own. BCA and Palladin Black Cherry 50/50 creates what I call a cheery explosion. So there are almost 40 other jars that are getting neglected in favor of the Lane products. These smoke exceptionally well in a MM Corn Cob. Anyone who does not try the Lane BCA or the others mentioned in a CC are really missing out on an aromatic experience.

I've been smoking 1Q for about 20 years. Recently my wife asked if I could smoke something with a different aroma as she was tired of 1Q. Accordingly, I ordered a pound of Black Cavendish. She loves the aroma and I very much like the way it smokes. Not harsh or biting but definitely strong flavoured. Mine arrived with the perfect moisture content and it continues to hold well in my humidor. It also burns very cleanly with little ash or dottel.
