For me it was an average. If you're looking for a lot of flavor, this isn't it

The quality of the previous series that I ordered was excellent. But it had a lot of fine and powdered tobacco/ But this time it has less fine tobacco, but the quality is bad. The previous tobacco was of such good quality that when I smoked, I quickly filled my pipe once more and smoked once more. It had a very good taste. But this time it tastes very bad and burns the mouth

Product seems to be a little bit drier than usual. Maybe not stored properly or has some extended age on the tobacco.

At the price, it's a steal. Just to do a fair comparison, I bought a pouch of Captain Black White and alternated. I'd say the High Peaks White is just a hint less fragrant and has minimally more bite, but who's complaining?

Nice product. Packs and lights easily, taste and room note similar to Captain Black Original (but taste and room note much weaker). Price point makes it an acceptable substitute.

Very similar to Captain Black's Original but more intense flavor which I like. It has a little more kick to but still smooth. Very nice smoke.

So very close to Captain Black White but at a much more reasonable price.

Only complaint is that 48 ounces was put into 2 bags for the first time, it is not convenient. One pound bags are so much better.

This is my ALL DAY go to smoke right here ... consistent , quality , and ya can’t beat the price . My only regret is not getting it by the pound.

I would much prefer captain black original. High peaks white is harsh and doesn't have the same taste or smell as captain black original.

I’ve smoked plain Jane Capt.Black white for years, and when it became hard to find this in bulk Sean from Cup O’ Joe’s recommended this. It’s like my standby Capt. Black but even BETTER.

Service an delivery was excellent

Usually this is fine tobacco, however, in one bag we received, this is the only time that we truly thought we received another type of tobacco. I called, but an answer was given that it was possibly another batch date...nothing else was said. Therefore what was originally 5 stars, received only 4 stars. I still order though, as always!

this tobacco is perfect . I have been smoking Captain Black for a long time And this store is one of my favorite stores I think I was searching the internet for tobacco 3 or 4 years ago I got acquainted with this store. From the first time I bought, everything was fine, all the tobacco I have bought so far. Everyone was fine. And I always wondered what I would do if it closed one day. So I was always happy with the tobacco in this store until Captain Black Bulk changed his name all of a sudden. And at first I thought it was different, but when I compared it to Captain Black, I saw no change to much At first I felt a slight change, but I think it was because of the tobacco I smoked before smoking. Anyway, I'm satisfied with this tobacco, but I wish it had a little more taste and smell. I think it would be much better if a little bit of the golden captain was mixed

I chose this product to replace Captain Black. The quality of this product is good. But it is not like Captain Black that I have been using for many years. The quality of this tobacco is good. This tobacco burns almost well. And the ashes leave the taste and smell a little less than Captain Black. It does not sting the tongue. And is gentle It smells good It tastes good Since I did not use other types of tobacco. And I have only always used Captain Black. I can not say whether it is better than other tobacco or not. But it can be said that he is close to the captain, but he does not reach Captain Black But not as rich as Captain Black

I’ve been searching for an economically replacement for Captain Black white for a while now and this is the closest I’ve found. I find the flavor almost identical with the same burning qualities; slow and very little bite as long as I don’t locomotive it. It does best with sips and I get the most flavor that way. Vanilla, Nuget and Chocolate come through mildly and predominate. The flavor lasts from start to finish. Letting it set in my jar for a few days helps the flavor come out. Since it’s cheaper than CB and CB ain’t what it used to be, I’ll be ordering this regularly. Try it! It won’t disappoint!

This is a wonderfully balanced tobacco for new and old time pipe smokers. If you want flavor, this blend has it! There are rich tones of vanilla, rich french vanilla tones with a good deal of sweet teases of sweet caramel. If you are a new pipe smoker and want a good place to start, this is one of your blend selections to get you started.

Of all the shop blends of tobacco I have smoked over 30 years, this is one of the best. It's not overly sweet, it's pleasant with a soft or hard smoke. The smoke is always caramel and sweet, but with a heavenly sweet apple pie kind of aroma. Even after a good bowl smoke, with a slow smoke, the air is wonderful with whiffs of caramel, apple, and a bit of maple. A desirable smoke and one for most beginners in my opinion.
