Cup O' Joes Blend No. 24 Balkan Kake 50g Tin

This blend is among my very favorites; smooth, cool and tasty.

I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt with 5 stars because I'm new to balkans. I normally don't smoke aromatics, my normal go to's are old dark fired, 1792, and black xx. I am enjoying my first bowl of balkan kake. A little bite if you smoke it to fast. To me it was mild to medium with a little bit of a floral taste. Didn't require a long dry time. I smoked it 2-3 minutes and let it go out. I've found if you do this, when you go back for the relight with about any tobacco, it just gets better. I'll do a followup after a few more bowls.

Excellent, but- it will bite IF you try to smoke it too fast.

Tin note of pungent sour, tart fruit and smoky. Tobacco is a Krumble Kake of marbled brown, dark brown, black and a little tan. Moisture content is great. Breaks apart and rubs out super easy, barely and inconvenience. Burns slow with a few extra relights. The strength is mild to medium and nic is mild. No flavoring detected. Taste is medium and very consistent, with notes of smoky, herbal floral, tangy citrus, incense, wood, toast, sugar, savory, mildly spicy, fermented sour, lemon grass, mildly acidic, orange peel, a peaty vegetation background note, and a peppery retro. Latakia is leading with Oriental/Turkish, Virginia supporting. Room note is tolerable, and aftertaste is great.

Phenomenal! My new favorite.Smells a little rank in the tin. The smoke, however, is something else entirely.

I really enjoy this blend. Flavorful and smooth, nice room aroma. I will order again.

A terrific blend of tobacco, with the hint of oriental, easy to smoke with no tongue burn.

Cup O’ Joes No. 24 Balkan Kake

Well my first experience with the Balkan kake was not a bad experience. What to do first. Wash hands. You don’t want anything like aftershave or anything else on them because you’re going to have to crumble this up to smoke. With that done and the Peterson filled to the brim. I sat back and litt up to discover a whole new experience in smoking. By the way I was drinking a hot cup of Colombian coffee and they went great together. Nice aroma good burn. Take the time to prep your pipe and you’ll enjoy this. Don’t just cram it in there and torch it. Good aroma I really enjoy Latakia so this was a treat.

Great taste, slow burn. Does not create a lot of smoke in the room. Will buy it again!

This was a very interesting blend to me. When I first opened the it had a very sweet note, not Smoky dark bold overtone but more of a sweet Virginia smell. The moisture content was almost perfect for me. The first bowl was very much unexpected I thought the sweet Virginias would overpower it from the smell I was quite surprised that it didnt. Halfway through the bowl you get a better feeling of what the tobacco is really like. Very smooth well blended. This is not a very strong broken blend I would rate it a very medium. But I would say that this is a great all day smoke. Order as many tens as you can put it up see how it does in a couple years.

Winner winner, I love the cut style reminds me of Penzance. Very tasty! Just rub a little and fill the pipe. Lighter than expected which I like. I will definitely buy some more if it’s available.

The aroma from the can reminded me of the Balkan Sobranie of many years ago. But with smoking it, there is a bite or burn that is harsh compared to Dunhill 965 or Balkan Sasieni. This is my first kake and I am still not sure how to prepare it for smoking.

Very mild on the tongue, flavorful, great aroma!
